Standard reports #

Existing ATMS users will be familiar with the standard reports, which remain in place for standard formatted reports (such as Item / Assembly / Kit Technical reports, etc.).

There have been some enhancements to these, allowing the user to choose which fields are displayed on the report, and proportion the displayed column width. This is very useful since, for example, the unit description field is 50 characters in width, and will take up a lot of room on your printout. If, however, your descriptions are only ever 35 characters, you can proportion the space allocated, and thus minimise unnecessary white space.

All reports, including standard reports are accessed from a user-friendly interface, and all reports are previewed prior to being committed to the printer.

Below is a general summary of how the reports are structured, and some screen shots of a typical report – in this case the Transaction Issues Report.

The transaction log contains a full audit trail of activities within the ATMS application, and this report analyses issues (booking out to machine jobs and users).

The first screen allows the user to specify which fields are to be displayed on the report.

If it is  it will be on the report, if not ticked, it will not.

Also shown in this view is the SHOW ADVANCED button.

This allows the user to select the field in question from the drop down box, e.g. Item Number, and set the scaling factor for the resulting column width.

This is best achieved by trial and error, but when satisfied, the property can be saved as default for this particular report by selecting SAVE FOR THIS REPORT.

These saved settings are only saved to the local PC. If you access ATMS from another PC, the settings will be different.

The next screen gives the option to filter out by tool type, and also the option on which Item price to use for cost calculations. (See the PRICE / COST ANALYSIS MANAGEMENT section in this manual for an explanation of costs and pricing in ATMS)

The analysis can be limited to a date range from the next screen, and further filters applied to analyse by machine, job, user, cost centres, Item number, family, POI, or supplier.

The next screen, allows the user to specify any grouping and sub-totals required, by selecting the name and promoting it up or down the list by using the arrows on the right hand side of the list.

The last screen summarises the selection settings, and gives the user the option to print the criteria on the report output.

Furthermore, customised headers and footers are easily configured.

Below is a sample report preview, which can be sent to the printer, the report content can be exported to Rich Text Format (RTF), Excel, plain text, etc., in order to facilitate off line analysis or distribution.
