A – Issuing Items

Stock Management #

There is more than one method of accessing the stores activities.

The first is to select the “Stores Management” icon from the Main Menu, a second is to access the Item required through the “Quick Tool” system, and then select the store activity from the toolbar on the left hand side.

Either of these methods will take you to one of the stores activity screens, but accessing through “Quick Tool”, the search and detail icons will be disabled (you should already know the details and have found the Item through “Quick Tool” before getting to this stage).

If accessing using the Stores Management Menu, select the activity required from the available icons.

Issue #

Select the “Issue” option from the Stores Management Menu.

The new stores activity screen is divided into 5 main areas:

Action Tool bar down the left hand side,

Which selects the activity type,

i.e. Issue / Return / Swap / Build Assembly / Dismantle Assembly, and ATMS Search, Issue Criteria,

Where the user specifies the machine / job / and / or User the units are to be issued to,

Unit details,

Where the issue unit Id. is entered, and the quantity to be issued, along with the available quantities,

The issue history, which collates allowing the users to choose if and when to print transaction tickets.

First : –
Select the Issue icon.

When issuing from ATMS you have the option of specifying which machine, job, and user to which the issue is being made.

Select the machine, job, and user for the issue using the combo boxes provided.

You must specify at least one.

ATMS will not allow you to issue to nothing.

The more targets specified, the greater the potential for tracking, and cost analysis and reporting.

TIP
If any of these combo boxes contains a large number of entries, and you know the first few characters of the relevant code, you can jump to this start point in the list by entering the first few characters. Then pressing the combo box down-arrow.

Issuing Items #

If the unit id is known, this can be entered directly into the unit text box and then press <Enter>.

The unit details appear on screen showing the locations and quantities available.

If there are units available for issue, then the cursor moves to the “Quantity” – to issue textbox.

Enter a valid quantity into either the new location or used location quantity fields, and select the Go button.

If successfully issuing Items, ATMS should return the message that “All units were successfully issued.”

A window will then appear informing the user of the location and quantities (a picking list).

The cursor will then return to the unit id textbox for the next unit to be issued.

If it is not possible to all of the units requested, you are presented with a form that details what can and cannot be issued. You have the opportunity to proceed and issue only those Items available.

If it is not possible to issue any of the units requested, ATMS will report that there is nothing available to issue.

Provided you have accessed this screen from the “Stores Activity Menu”, you can at any stage, view the unit details (by selecting the camera icon), or switch to the ATMS search screen (by selecting the search icon).

These are not available from the screen if accessed by the “Quick Tool” system.

If the unit id is not known (you will not have accessed this screen by the “Quick Tool” system) you can switch to the ATMS search routine as outlined above.

Alternatively, if you know the prefix (first few characters of the unit id) enter them into the unit textbox and press enter. ATMS will return a window with units starting with your entry characters.

Issuing Assemblies and Kits #

The activity is identical to the issue of Items.

However, if not all Assembly / Kit Items are available, you are presented with a form that details what individual elements of the Assembly or Kit can and cannot be issued.

You have the opportunity to proceed and issue only those Items available.
