How to Create a Record #

Place the cursor in the ID text box and type in the new ID for the new record.

Press <Enter>.

ATMS will inform you that the record does not exist, and asks,
“Do you want to create a new one?”
Select the <Yes> button.

This puts the user into “Edit mode”, from where all the fields on all tabs can be entered.

The user must enter at least a description before ATMS will allow a save action.

Fill in the Item data on all necessary tabs, as indicated.

When satisfied with the input, press the <Save> icon (top left on the toolbar) and the new record is created.

If you wish to abort the record creation, select the <Cancel Changes> icon, second from top of the toolbar), and the save routine is aborted, and the new record is NOT created.

How to Edit a Record #

Place the cursor in the ID text box, type in the ID corresponding to the record to be modified.

Press <Enter>.

The record details should have populated the screen, providing you have entered the correct number.

The data displayed at this stage is all visible, but the user cannot edit information. To enter the edit mode, select the <Edit> icon (second from the top of the toolbar) and all fields can then be edited.

Select the field(s) to be modified, with the mouse cursor, and make the necessary changes.

When satisfied with the input, select the disk icon <Save> (top left on the toolbar) and the record is saved.

If you wish to abort the edit, select the <Cancel Changes> icon, second from top of the toolbar), and the edit routine is aborted, and no data is modified.

How to Copy a Record #

Place the cursor in the ID text box, and type in the ID of the source (existing) record

Press <Enter>.

This will populate the screen with data in View only mode.

Select the <Copy> icon (3rd from top of the toolbar), and enter the new (target) record ID. This puts the user into edit mode for the new record.

Make any changes desired, on all relevant tabs, and when satisfied, select the <Save> icon (top left on the toolbar) and the new record is created and saved.

Should the user wish to abort, without saving the new copied record, select the <Cancel Changes> icon (second from top of the toolbar), and the copy routine is aborted, and no new data is created.

How to Delete a Record #

Place the cursor in the ID text box, and type in the ID corresponding to the record to be deleted.

Press <Enter>.

When you are sure this is the record to be deleted, press the <Delete> icon.

ATMS will ask for confirmation that this is to be deleted, and will then delete the record from the database, confirming the action with a message “Record Deleted”.

How to Find a Record #

This section is valid for Items, Assemblies, Kits, Kit Lists and ITI’s. For References records, just search within the record’s lists displayed. Click on the column headers to re-order the lists.

By partial (prefix) ID

If the prefix of the record ID is known, ATMS can search the database for all records

starting with your entry. Place the cursor in the ID text box and type in the partial (prefix only) ID.

Press <Enter>.

ATMS will display a drop-down list that displays all records starting with your target number. You can search for the Item required by using the scroll bar, and select it, and ATMS will return the details to the record screen.

General search #

From any of the screens select the <Search> icon.
